JD Auction offers industrial equipment, containers, attachments, modular buildings, and surplus industrial products — available through timed auctions and fixed-price marketplace listings across multiple U.S. locations.
Where are items located?
Items are located across multiple U.S. locations. Each listing shows the specific pickup location. Please review the lot location carefully before bidding.
Registration & Account
Do I need to register before bidding?

How long does approval take?
Most accounts are approved within 24 hours.
What information do I need to create an account?
You will need to provide your email address, billing, payment, and shipping information. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity on your account.
Can I share or transfer my account to someone else?
No. You may not transfer, sell, assign, or license your account to any other person.
Bidding & Buying
How do I place a bid?
Simply enter your bid amount on the auction page and confirm.
What is a reserve price?
A reserve price is the minimum price the seller is willing to accept.
If the reserve is not met, the item may not be sold.
Can I cancel my bid?
No. All bids are binding once placed.
What happens if I win an auction?
You will receive an invoice and payment instructions via email.
Are all sales final?
Yes. Because items are sold through auction, all sales are final and not eligible for return, exchange, or refund. Please review all listing details and inspect the item before bidding.
Can I inspect the equipment before bidding?
Yes — preview is available by appointment only. Contact us at info@jd-auction.com to schedule. Failure to inspect does not relieve you of responsibility for the condition of the lot or the obligation to complete the purchase.
Payment
What payment methods are accepted?
We accept bank wire transfers and other approved payment methods.
How long do I have to pay?
Payment is typically required within a specified timeframe (e.g., 48–72 hours).
Will I be charged sales tax?
Sales tax will be charged where required by law. If you have a valid tax exemption certificate, email it to info@jd-auction.com prior to invoicing so we can update your invoice.
What is included in my final invoice?
Your final invoice may include the winning bid amount, a 12% buyer's premium, applicable sales tax, and any other fees disclosed for the specific lot or auction.
Item Condition
What condition are items sold in?
All items are sold “as-is, where-is” with no warranties unless otherwise stated.
Are the photos and descriptions guaranteed to be accurate?
Descriptions, photographs, and other information are provided for convenience only and may contain errors or omissions. JD Auction makes no representations or warranties of any kind. It is the buyer's sole responsibility to inspect and evaluate each lot prior to bidding.
Does JD Auction provide any warranty on equipment?
No. JD Auction makes no warranties of any kind regarding any lot, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, condition, or authenticity.
Policies
What happens if I don’t pay after winning?
Failure to complete payment may result in account suspension and penalties.
Are there additional fees?
Yes. A 12% buyer's premium applies to all winning bids. Credit card payments incur an additional 3.5% processing fee. Sales tax may also apply depending on your location.
How do I schedule a pickup?
Call at least 24 hours in advance to schedule a pickup time. Your driver must bring a copy of the JD Auction Item Release document — failure to present this will result in refusal of pickup.
Does JD Auction provide shipping or delivery?
No. JD Auction does not provide shipping, delivery, or freight services. Buyers are solely responsible for arranging pickup, transportation, loading, and handling.
What happens if I don't pick up my item by the deadline?
Items not removed by the deadline on the lot page or invoice may incur storage fees. Lots not removed within 15 days after the deadline may be deemed abandoned and disposed of without refund.
Who is responsible for loading and rigging?
JD Auction does not provide loading or rigging services. Most sellers do have equipment available on-site to assist, but availability varies by location. We recommend confirming with us before your scheduled pickup to avoid any complications.
